The Skinny: UConn is the first No. 7 seed to reach the Final Four since the tournament expanded to 64 teams in 1985. The Huskies were academically ineligible for last season's NCAA tournament. The Huskies won their third national title in 2011 with coach Jim Calhoun and one-man show Kemba Walker. Shabazz Napier, 2014 AP first-team All-America, was a freshman on that team. UConn beat Florida 65-64 on Dec. 2, the last loss for the Gators.

The Skinny: The Gators have the longest current winning streak at 30 games. Florida's two losses came on the road, against Wisconsin (59-53 on Nov. 12) and UConn (65-64 on Dec. 2). Coach Billy Donovan won a pair of national titles at Florida with Joakim Noah, Corey Brewer and Al Horford, all top-10 NBA picks in the 2007 NBA draft. Florida is third in fewest points allowed at 57.6 per game.

Region: Midwest. Seed: No. 8.

Tournament Record: 117-47, 54 years. Last appearance: 2012.

Kentucky won the 2012 national championship behind coach John Calipari's one-and-done philosophy. Kentucky is the first all-freshman starting lineup to make the Final Four since the Fab Five at Michigan in 1992. Two more wins and they'll have the school's ninth national title. Kentucky is second in the country in rebound margin at 9.8 and averages 6.1 blocks per game.
