CLINTON, Miss. (AP) — Scenes from the Tennessee Williams play "A Streetcar Named Desire" will be presented April 11-12 at Mississippi College.
The college's department of communication is sponsoring the production at 7 p.m. each night in the Aven Little Theater at Aven Hall.
Williams received the Pulitzer Prize for drama in 1948 for the play. Three years later, it was transformed into a critically acclaimed movie.
The production tells the story of Southern belle Blanche DuBois who leaves rural Mississippi to visit her sister in the New Orleans French Quarter.
Tickets are $3 and available each night at the door. The program is open to the public.
