ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta's Kyle Korver missed his fifth straight game because of back spasms and center Pero Antic also sat out against Portland due to an ankle injury.
Antic twisted his right ankle Wednesday night a loss at Minnesota.
For the Trail Blazers, forward LaMarcus Aldridge started after missing seven games with a lower back contusion.
Korver, the 3-point specialist, has not played since March 18, when the Hawks beat Toronto for their fifth straight win. Since losing Korver, the Hawks have lost four straight and entered Thursday night's games only two games ahead of the Knicks in the race for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Shelvin Mack and Elton Brand started in place of Korver and Antic.
