Chris Kaye ReportingMany roads will be closed Saturday for the Salt Lake City marathon.
Salt Lake City marathon race director Scott Kerr says you'll need patience if you driving near the course.
"Best bet is to, whenever possible, take either I-15 or I-215 or I-80 to get around."
Kerr says public transportation or the freeways will be your best bet.
"Most bus routes are on their normal schedule. We recommend to all participants to go ahead and ride Trax or park at the gateway and take Trax up to the starting line."
The marathon starts at the U at 6:00 in the morning and winds through Holladay, Murray and South Salt Lake before ending at the Gateway around 1:00.
