WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) — Police in Westminster are offering a $1,000 reward in a shooting incident at McDaniel College.
They also are releasing new details about suspects in the episode.
No one was hurt in the incident early Sunday morning, but a university spokeswoman tells the Carroll County Times that several small-caliber rounds were fired through a lobby window on the second floor of the Whiteford Hall dormitory building.
Police say the shooting stemmed from an off-campus confrontation between several McDaniel students and six or seven people walking along Monroe Street near the college.
Police say the suspects may be local residents, both male and female and in their teens to mid-twenties.
