TO FOOD, AND NATIONAL EDITORS:
Looking For America's Standout Seniors
LEXINGTON, Ky., March 4, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Seniors,
those aged 62 and over, are not only the fastest growing segment of
our population, they remain the difference makers - leading companies,
fundraisers, and policy changes. The new generation of seniors
include Richard Gere, Jane Seymour and Bruce Springsteen. But there
are also lesser known seniors in every community who are standouts,
and you have a chance to nominate them as part of Fazoli's Club 62
Starting March 3, post your senior candidate - a friend, parent,
grandparent, neighbor, co-worker - on a special tab on Fazoli's
Facebook page (www.facebook.com/fazolis) describing why he or she is a
standout senior. Fazoli's will select one senior in each
participating market to be spotlighted in the media. Plus, the
winning senior in each market will receive Free Spaghetti for a Year.
Deadline for entries is March 14, 2014 and winners will be announced
on or around March 17, 2014.
Fazoli's developed the Club 62 Awards to help launch its Club 62 Card
Program. With a Club 62 Card, seniors aged 62 or over pay just $4 on
Wednesdays. The offer is for any Senior Deal Menu item. In
addition, small drinks on any day of the week are just $1. Club 62
cards are available at participating Fazoli's locations.
Jon Quinn, Fazoli's Vice President of Marketing, believes its time
that seniors receive recognition for their many contributions.
"Seniors today are more active and more involved in the community than
ever before," said Quinn. "They also believe in the value of a
sit-down meal, the kind you still eat with a fork, which is what we
offer. So it's time we stand-up for them with an award."
An American family favorite for more than 20 years, Fazoli's ranked #2
overall among large national fast-food chains in the prestigious Zagat
Survey. With a premium menu of freshly prepared Italian entrees,
oven-baked sandwiches and salads, a new service style featuring table
service and a contemporary new restaurant design, Fazoli's is
expanding throughout the country. Founded in Lexington, Ky. in 1988,
Fazoli's was acquired by Sun Capital Partners in 2006.
