LAYTON — A woman who wasn't wearing her seatbelt is in critical condition after she was ejected from a car during a crash Friday, police said.

The accident occurred when a Chevrolet Prizm turned left to travel east on Hill Field Road from Main Street and was involved with a collision with a Chevy Tahoe, said Layton City Police Sgt. Jay Petre.

A woman who was a passenger in the Prizm was not wearing her seatbelt and was ejected from the car and then pinned under the vehicle, Petre said. She is in critical condition.

The Tahoe came to a stop after it hit a traffic sign, he said. Traffic on Main Street was stopped, but has since been cleared.

The name of the woman has not yet been released. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
