LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) — Shortstop Jose Iglesias (ih-GLAY'-see-uhs) of the Tigers is expected to be out for about a week because of a recurring shin problem. After joining the Tigers from the Red Sox in a mid-season trade, Iglesias finished second in last year's American League rookie of the year vote, hitting .303 in 109 games.

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke (GREHN'-kee) is scheduled to undergo treatment after straining his right calf during his first spring training start. The Los Angeles medical staff diagnosed the strain as mild following Thursday's injury. The Dodgers hope he'll be able to continue working out tomorrow.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (AP) — The top team in the NBA's Western Conference, Oklahoma City, is in the midst of a three-game losing streak. Tonight the Thunder will attempt to get back in the win column with a home game against Memphis.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — Rory McIlroy has the early second-round lead at the PGA's Honda Classic. He followed up his opening-round 63 with a 4-under 66 for an 11-under total. His round featured four birdies.

SINGAPORE (AP) — The second round of the LPGA HSBC event in Singapore came to an end this morning, U.S. time. First-round leader Karrie (KAHR'-ee) Webb retained the lead with a 69 to stand in front of Angela Stanford of the U.S. by two shots.
