(KSL News) -- A child playing with fire started a fire at an apartment building in Washington Terrace today.
According to fire officials, the child was playing with matches and a lighter in his family's second floor apartment when he lit the room he was in on fire.
Everyone was able to get out safely. Fire crews were able to get the fire out before it moved beyond the room and into other apartments.
Other apartments did suffer smoke damage.
