Homeowner awakes to intruder, chases him through city

WEST JORDAN — West Jordan police have two people in custody after a chase through their city early Thursday morning.

A homeowner told police he awoke to find an intruder stealing things from his garage near 9000 South and Granada Hills Drive. The intruder fled in a car and the homeowner followed in his own vehicle, chasing the alleged intruder.

The chase ended about a mile away, near 4000 West and Rivendell Drive, when police caught up with the group.

Officers took two people into custody and said it was risky for the homeowner to chase the alleged intruder.
