(KSL News) -- Asbestos is delaying the demolition of a motel on the site of Provo's planned art center.
Since the motel was built in 1947, it wasn't a surprise to find asbetos, but there's more asbestos than expected.
The city has hired a contractor to clean it up, which is expected to take two or three weeks.
The clean up will set construction back and cost the city about 83-thousand dollars on top of the money set aside for construction of the arts center.
