KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia (AP) - For Magnus Krog of Norway, the secret to getting an Olympic medal is all in the hair.
Krog decided to dye his hair in the red-white-and-blue pattern of the Norwegian flag before the Sochi Games for good luck. Sporting the rather eye-catching look, Krog took bronze Wednesday in the Nordic combined normal hill event, his first medal at a major championships.
"I've seen a couple of Norwegians doing it before me at the past Olympics," Krog said about the patriotic hair-do. "So I thought before these Olympics, maybe it's smart to do some crazy things to your hair and maybe it brings luck. Obviously it works."
No word on whether he'll color it bronze next.
