OGDEN — A car rolled into a house in Ogden, and police said two known gang members are to blame. They also said loaded guns were found inside the car.

Police received a call just before 8 p.m. Sunday from a witness who saw someone firing a gun from a brown, four-door vehicle at 33rd Street and Lincoln Avenue in Ogden, according to Ogden Police Lt. Steve Zaccardi.

Officers spotted a 2004, brown Ford Explorer and tried to pull it over, but the vehicle sped away. Police pursued it into Washington Terrace then called off the chase due to erratic driving by the fleeing motorist.

A few blocks later the car rolled onto the porch of a house at 182 W. 5000 South.

Three people — two men and a woman — tried to run but were arrested. Officers used a Taser on one of them and said the two men are documented gang members.

Officers said they located two loaded handguns in the vehicle.

The trio arrested and booked into the Weber County Jail were identified as:

  • Brent Vigil, 23, who police identified as the driver
Booked for investigation of evading, avoiding arrest, possession of a weapon by a restricted person, possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle, discharging of firearm from a vehicle, reckless driving and driving on a denied license.
  • Marcus Cruz, 18
Booked for investigation of avoiding arrest, possession of a firearm by a restricted person, possession of a loaded weapon in a vehicle, and possession of marijuana.
  • Jozette Apadaca, 18
Booked for investigation of avoiding arrest and providing false information to a police officer.

Zaccardi was unsure how much damage the house sustained, but did not think it was extensive.
