PROVO — Tyler Haws continued his torrid scoring stretch by putting up 38 points against Pacific on Thursday night.

Haws has averaged 36 points in his last three games and is the nation's third leading scorer.

After the game, the always humble Haws deflected much of the praise. "Gotta give a lot of credit to my teammates and the way they shared the ball and found me in transition. We're just running good stuff," said Haws.

Head coach Dave Rose loves having the potent scoring weapon on his team, but realizes that balance is needed for this team to take the next step — winning the West Coast Conference tournament.

"He's a really good, consistent offensive player and right now we are relying on him. Maybe, relying on him too much and hopefully we can spread this out a little bit," said Rose.

BYU will play St. Mary's on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Marriott Center. BYU has never beaten St. Mary's since joining the West Coast Conference.
