OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- Just days after a warrant was issued for his arrest, the man accused of leaving a litter of puppies in a trash bin has been caught.
Ogden police say a tip led them to Michael Ray Howard. When they arrested him Wednesday night, he was carrying drugs.
A judge issued the warrant Monday after Howard missed an appointment in 2nd District Court to hear the charges against him. He is accused of leaving 14 terrier mix puppies in a sheet and a plastic bag in a trash bin behind a Riverdale fabric store on Dec. 9. All but one of the dogs died.
