That's why John and Kristin Wojciechowski (woa-juh-cow-ski) opened Striders 10 years ago, with locations in Layton and Ogden. Not only have they been runners themselves for years, but they're now equipping all stages and levels of runners through Striders ... Here you'll find all the equipment to make your run a pleasant experience from the Ultra Aspire Pack for ultra runners to workout clothing, water bottles and shoes.
Striders is proud to stock and sell Altra, the running sensation developed right here in Utah. As the ultra running community has developed, the Hoka brand has really taken off since it's designed to support runners through long-distance runs. Saucony, New Balance and Mizuno remain popular choices.
In response to customer requests, John and Kristin opened a brand new store in Ogden earlier this year. Their 4,000 square foot store is located right next to a trail system that starts at Rainbow Gardens and goes all the way to Riverdale.... Kristin says the advancement of the system is a testament to Ogden and the vision of the current administration....
As for the Striders team, Kristin says they're passionate people who have a vision for what they do... Their 15 employees are like-minded people who see the recreation opportunities and want to help everyone in Utah enjoy them...John and Kristin's dedication to the sport is such that they put on seven races throughout the year. They also offer a winter racing series for those preparing for racing events.
John and Kristin are also proud to be associated with Ogden, a city that continues to grow as a recreational hotspot .... When you walk out of their store, be sure to notice the bin full of used shoes. These are donated to the homeless monthly.
