(KSL News) -- A former Washington County corrections employee today pleaded guilty to having sexual relations with an inmate.

Brian Stubbs pleaded guilty to two offences.

Earlier this month another former guard, Charles Mrvicka, pleaded guilty to similar charges.

Three other corrections officers have resigned because of like allegations.

Those allegations of sexual misconduct at the Purgatory Correctional Facility have led to an outside investigation of its employment and operating practices.

Washington County Sheriff Kirk Smith has asked former director of the Utah Department of Corrections, Gary DeLand, to look into the matter and recommend changes to ensure such incidents do not happen again.

The Sheriff's Office has already conducted an internal investigation.
