This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

When you think of home automation, maybe you think James Bond or an ultra high-tech billionaire's home.... You may picture floor sensors so lights turn on as you step in front of your vanity or enter your walk-in closet.... Or lights that turn off when you leave a room so no energy is wasted.... And then you probably think this isn't something you can ever do because of costs.......But you'd be wrong — home automation is already here...

Scott Montgomery is vice-president of TYM Security, a Salt Lake City company that has created home automation systems, designed to be efficient and affordable. Their products are automation systems, which provide control of blinds, lights, small appliances, door locks and thermostat... And all of it is controlled simply by your smart phone, an iPad or a universal remote...

Other features include outdoor lights with an atomic clock so lights come on 30 minutes after dusk, lights that turn off when you leave a room and temperature adjustments... TYM Security can bring home automation to the mass market for as little as $1200, then add automation to last throughout your life in that home.

Their footprint extends through the state of Utah for installing this technology, especially into new homes, although it can be put in established homes as well...They're also working with several home builders in Idaho and have a presence in Dallas... You can see their work out in Bluffdale during the Parade of Homes next month. TYM Security has an agreement with Candlelight Homes to install the technology standard in all their new home models.

One of the features Scott loves are door locks, which are touch screen locks.... If you have guests coming in, you can set a code for them, or for a maintenance worker, you can do it time specific.... When your child comes home, you'll get text notification the child came home, providing another tool for parents to be involved with their kids...

With TYM Security, your home is set to react to life the way you react to it...

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
