(KSL News) -- It's a happier Mother's Day than expected today for a Salt Lake family. Their little boy is home safe and sound.
Eight-year old Evan Vargas seemed to vanish from the jacuzzi in the Park Place Apartment Complex last night about 10:00. His parents looked everywhere and then called police.
Officers searched for Evan all night and through the morning knocking on doors.
Evan was found safe just after 10:00 this morning. He'd gone to a friend's house in the apartment complex and fallen asleep.
