PROVO, Utah (AP) -- An 18-year-old Utah County jail inmate is being accused of leaving bomb threats on the telephone answering machine of his probation officer.
Papers filed in 4th District Court say the man left three messages on Jan. 31 targeting the courthouse in Provo. He made the calls while in the county jail.
In each message, the man claimed a bomb had been left at the court. In one message the man says the bomb would detonate at 3 p.m.
Authorities checked both the Provo court and the justice court as a precaution.
