PARK CITY — Two people were flown to the hospital in critical condition Wednesday after a single vehicle rollover crash.
An SUV hauling a camper was traveling west on U.S. 40 near Park City when the camper started to sway and the vehicle left the road and rolled just after 1:20 p.m., Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson said. An "older" couple in the front driver and passenger seats were not ejected in the crash, but did sustain critical injuries.
An adult male and his 12-year-old son were riding in the back seat and sustained minor injuries.
Two medical helicopters responded to the scene and transported the two critically injured individuals to the hospital.
Johnson said no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Eastbound traffic on U.S. 40 was closed for approximately 45 minutes to allow for the medical helicopters to land after the crash. As of 3 p.m., at least one westbound lane had been reopened.
