SALT LAKE CITY — The Pittsburgh Pirates are in contention for the top spot in the National League Central division, and those in the Pirates bullpen have nicknamed themselves the "Shark Tank" because "they look for the smell of blood and go in for the kill."
As a result, live sharks have been introduced into the team's clubhouse. Elmer's Aquarium donated a 110-gallon tank with two sharks to be a permanent fixture. As if that wasn't enough, two fans decided the team needed a traveling shark tank.
Marty and Melissa Sigmund delivered a marine transport bag to the team, so the bullpen could bring its new pets to every away game. The bag held a couple plastic sharks, some small fish and a rally monkey.
LeBron's shot chart
The NBA Finals ended last week in all its glory, with the Miami Heat winning their second consecutive championship. The credit for the win: LeBron James. There are many fans of the league that will criticize James for the rest of his and their lives, but it's hard to argue his accomplishments thus far.
During the Finals series, the Spurs' strategy was to keep James from getting close to the rim. And for the most part, their strategy worked. However, that didn't stop James from scoring 37 points and pulling down 12 rebounds in game 7.
