Ogden house fire causes $10K in damage

OGDEN — Fire crews responded to an Ogden house fire that displaced four people early Saturday morning.

The Ogden City Fire department received a report of a house fire at 739 24th Street at 1:05 a.m. 14 firefighters responded and found a significant amount of smoke when they arrived at the scene, according to Ogden Deputy Fire Chief Eric Bauman.

The four occupants of the duplex were able to exit safely, and were temporarily displaced due to the fire. The fire fighters were able to extinguish the fire, but the damage was estimated at $10,000.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown and is under investigation by the city fire marshal.

There were no injuries associated with the fire.
