WEST JORDAN — A woman had to be extricated from her car and transported to the hospital after a three car pileup Friday night.
West Jordan Police received a call Friday night at 6:30 p.m. reporting a traffic accident involving three cars near 7800 S. Redwood Road.
A woman driving one of the cars involved in the accident had to be extricated from her vehicle due to the heavy impact of hitting the other vehicles, according to Sgt. Mitch Soper. She was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
The other people involved in the accident received minor injuries during the incident.
"We just ask that people slow down a little bit," Soper said. "This is going to be a busy weekend. Just try to slow it down a little bit, and be safe."
