How do we end up balancing the need to get to the truth with our relationships and still have compassion? How do we balance compassion and truthfulness and being honest with people? So many have a hard time being truthful at the expense of compassion, or having compassion at the expense of truth. There are times that people get hurt when it's not taken care of, and there are times that they get hurt because we feel we need to take care of it. We can liken this to a farmer. The farmer is not the one that creates the growth. If you create the right condition the seeds will grow. It is not the farmer that creates the growth it's the seed that does that. If you create the right conditions, then people may be more willing to change.
