Are there any problems that can occur on Facebook that might be potentially damaging to your relationship? A couple came into my office today and they were both completely blind-sided by their partners finding a new love interest on Facebook. They had befriended an old love, turning into texting, then on to meeting in person. Unsuspecting at first, they were just helping the other who was struggling with a divorce. It soon grew to destroy both marriages. How do you improve, or safeguard and protect your family from the slight chance of an affair or temptation? Keys to help deal with, use, and be safe on Facebook or other media: 1- Get real -- If you have Facebook, problems can come up. Believe there are dangers out there. 2- Prepare and prevent -- Set up rules and create a plan of safety 3- Be transparent -- Don't be deceived by something from a long time ago. 4- Get yourself to your higher ground -- Stick to your higher principles.
