OGDEN — A woman was killed Sunday after her car veered off the road into a pole and then a parked car.
The woman was driving south on Harrison Boulevard around 6:20 a.m. in Ogden when her car left the road and crashed into a pole and an SUV, which propelled into a smaller truck, said Ogden Police Lt. Troy Burnett.
The crash occurred on the 2000 block of Harrison. Although investigators haven't determined how fast she was traveling, Burnett estimated she was driving at least the speed limit in the area, which he said was around 40 mph.
"It was a significant impact," Burnett said.
The woman, who Burnett said was middle aged, was transported to a hospital in Ogden where she was declared dead. Her name has not yet been released.
More details will be posted as they become available.
