While the shine of spring football wears off and turns into the dog day grind, reporters will take about any excitement, even if it is at their expense.

BYU offensive coordinator Robert Anae turned the tables on reporters at BYU football practice on Monday as he questioned the reasons for the questions.

The Coach v. Media dynamic is always unique. Each coach forges his own relationship with media member individually as well as collectively.

A few coaches come immediately to my mind when I think of the media/coach dynamic.

Urban Meyer is very outgoing.

Bronco Mendenhall is reserved.

Former Indiana head coach Bobby Knight is downright contentious.

None of these things influence success or failure as a coach, but speaking from personal experience, it is uncomfortable to have the tables turned. Although, it's sometimes a good thing to keep us on our toes.

Thanks to Provo Daily Herald's Jason Franchuk (@HarktheFranchuk) for being a good sport and taking one for the team. The exchange made for a memorable afternoon, and memorable always trumps boring.
