SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Gordon Hayward scored 17 points in his first start since November, including a 3-pointer with 17 seconds left, and the Utah Jazz beat the Memphis Grizzlies 90-84 on Saturday night.
The Grizzlies (44-21) had won 14 of 15 but have dropped two straight to close out a four-game road trip.

Utah (34-32) pulled within a half-game of the idle Lakers for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Jerryd Bayless led all scorers with 24 points. Memphis teammate Zach Randolph added 19 and Mike Conley 13 but on just 6-of-18 shooting.
The Jazz started sixth man Hayward to provide a spark on both ends. He added eight rebounds.
The Jazz used the lineup change to put behind a forgettable effort in Wednesday's 23-point loss in Oklahoma City, when they scored 28 in the first half and shot a season-low 35 percent.
They also played with more energy on Saturday. Mo Williams dived to the floor to force a Memphis shot-clock violation in the first quarter and Enes Kanter went head first into the crowd trying to save a rebound.
The Grizzlies put up a fight, too, with Marc Gasol even slinging a shoe at Derrick Favors to slow him down in the fourth quarter.
Gasol's three-point play pulled Memphis within 79-76 with 4:24 remaining. But the Jazz went on an 8-0 run with five straight points from Paul Millsap and another 3 by Hayward to take an 87-76 lead with 2:58 remaining.
Memphis led 50-45 at the break, but the Jazz used a big third quarter to regain control.
The Jazz had been outscored 55-28 in the third quarter in a pair of losses this season to Memphis. They outscored the Grizzlies 24-9 in the third Saturday to take a 69-59 lead into the fourth.
Randy Foye's 3-pointer and a 10-foot bank shot by Mo Williams gave the Jazz a 64-55 lead. Hayward pushed it to 66-55 with a jumper off the break and Williams sank a free throw for a 12-point Jazz lead with 1:59 left in the third after Memphis coach Lionel Hollins was called for a technical.
Memphis won the rebounding battle 42-38 and held a 42-30 edge on points in the paint, but the Jazz shot nine more free throws.
Utah also held the Grizzlies to just 42.9 percent shooting.
At halftime Utah was shooting just 41.2 percent and seemed headed for its ninth loss in 11 games.
Tayshaun Prince had a seven-point second quarter and Bayless scored eight, including a pair of 3s, to give Memphis a five-point lead at the break.
The Jazz started slowly, missing their first five shots and falling behind 9-1 and 17-9. Hayward hit Utah's first basket 4 minutes and then his first 3 to get Utah within 19-6. Utah closed on a 6-0 run for a 22-21 lead, sparked by Favors, who had four points, two rebounds and a block in six minutes.
Favors finished with 10 points, six rebounds and two blocks.
Randolph had an 11-point first quarter on 4-of-5 shooting.
Notes: Longtime Jazz broadcaster Hot Rod Hundley attended Saturday's game. ... Memphis G Tony Wroten did not dress Saturday and returned to the team hotel because of migraines. ..
