OGDEN — No. 2 Brighton defeated Viewmont 69-58 to advance to the 5A semifinals.

Brighton jumped out to a quick 12 point lead in the first quarter, but Viewmont chipped away in the middle quarters to trail by six heading into the fourth quarter.

Brighton's Brandon Miller was fantastic for the Bengals leading all scorers with 26 points on 9-of-14 shooting, playing all but one minute of the game.

Travis Devashrayee had a double-double, 12 points and 10 rebounds, playing the entire game for Brighton.

Viewmont played at a fast pace, putting up 13 more shots than Brighton (54-41), but shot just 43% for the game, compared to Brighton's blistering 59%.

McKay Johnson led Viewmont with 18 points.

No. 2 Brighton will play the winner of No. 1 Lone Peak or No. 5 Davis in the 5A semifinals on Friday, March 1st at 4:10 p.m.
