SALT LAKE CITY — Talk about a pain in the neck.

More than 130 accidents occurred along the Wasatch Front on Saturday following a winter storm that dumped 5 to 10 inches of new snow in some areas.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, there were seven crashes in which people sustained injuries, although none were serious. "The most serious injuries were minor cuts or neck and back pain," a UHP press release said.

There were 132 accidents resulting in property damage in Salt Lake, Davis, Utah and Weber counties, more than half in Salt Lake County alone.

The storm also resulted in 10 vehicle slide-offs in Salt Lake County, according to the UHP, and a UHP Trooper was hit while in his vehicle, the 16th time a Trooper responding to a traffic call has been involved in a collision since the start of the year.
