SALT LAKE CITY — A man was arrested after ramming a car into a police vehicle during a traffic stop.
Wednesday evening, police pulled over Christopher Whitaker, 20, for a traffic violation near 700 South and Jeremy Street. Whitaker rammed the four-door sedan he was driving into the marked police car before he sped away.
Officers stopped Whitaker at 800 South and 900 West.
He was booked on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, aggravated assault on a police officer, fleeing and causing property damage and driving under the influence.
