If you're in the market to buy a car, you'll like this. Chinese cars may be coming to the US auto market at a price of just $10,000.
Small is big at the North American auto show in Detroit, and among those generating the biggest interest is a little four-door sedan from china. It is made by the Geely company and will start selling in this country for under $10,000 in 2008, if the Chinese automaker can meet us safety and environmental requirements.
Like other Asian manufacturers, the Chinese have the potential to further erode Detroit's dominance in the US auto industry, but the challenges include a reputation for making low-quality goods based on cheap labor.
