SALT LAKE CITY -- Ryan Davis had one penny, and instead of it just bringing him luck it got him a car.
On Sept. 30, Davis came up with the idea of taking one penny and trading up to see just how far he could get in one year. He now has a 1997 Ford escort and is looking for someone else to trade with.
Davis plans to donate all the proceeds from his final trade to charity.
"It was my idea, and it was my penny; but from there on out I wanted to make sure people knew that it wasn't going to go to me anymore," Davis said. "It was going to go to something bigger and better than me."
