This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

In 1982, Mike Neider (knee-durr), a successful attorney, found himself in a difficult situation ... His client didn't have enough money to pay his bill... So, the client offered something remarkable instead — a patent and a mold....

Mike took the product and started looking into it. He saw potential and formed a company. What is now known as Miro Industries started as a family business Mike's children helped operate, including his daughter, Nicole. Nicole went to college and soon got married. Her husband, Nate Sargent, also got involved with the business. The two were running the company out of their dorm in college. They were both motivated to make money so they could go to school. Things really started to take off after Nate created a marketing and business plan. He handled the marketing and sales while Nicole did the books.

Today, Miro Industries has developed 15 patents and a couple trademarks. They specialize in pre-manufactured rooftop supports for pipe, conduit, duct, mechanical supports, bridge crossovers, walkways, service platforms and ramps. Miro can perform a free inspection to determine the condition of your roof supports and then have their team professionally install their specially-designed supports.

For over 30 years they have been accepted throughout the mechanical, roofing and electrical industry as the preferred rooftop support system over wood blocking or penetrating the roof membrane in order to support pipe.

It's been 31 years since that fateful day when Mike Neider took a chance on a mold and a patent...Today, Miro Industries operates out of a brand new 33,000 square foot facility in Heber City. Nate couldn't be more pleased with the move. He says Heber has embraced Miro and their 40 employees with open arms....

Nine years ago Nate bought Mike out, so he is now the majority owner and CEO of Miro Industries. He attributes much of Miro's success to great people who have helped Miro be a turnkey operation. They have ton of family at Miro, including husband/wife partnerships, and don't allow people to stay late. With Miro, it's always family first.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
