SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A pair of NASA satellites are now hovering in space after being launched over the weekend.
Two weather satellites were launched on Friday from California's Vandenberg Air Force Base. And one of the satellites -- called CloudSat -- is carrying software designed by the University of Utah.
The software will identify clouds from the stream of data coming back from the satellite.
A second satellite will use green lasers to examine clouds from above.
