No, we aren't just mispronouncing November.
Movember is a campaign -- happening in November -- for men all across the nation to grow the best moustache they can. And it isn't just about cultivating facial hair -- it's a fashion statement -- for a cause. Movember is meant to raise awareness of men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.
Those taking part in the grow-a-thon are encouraged to register at Movember dot com -- and find sponsors for their staches -- who will donate to various men's health causes.
Last year? These "Mo Bros" raised more than 126 million in the U-S alone. This year they are hoping to top that amount -- and are getting some help from one of Hollywood's most famous moustached men -- Nick Offerman of NBC's Parks and Rec. His video of advice for first time moustache growers is already a viral hit.
