USU Extension is pleased to announce the publication of "A Guide to Common Gardening Questions: Step by Step Recommendations for Successful Vegetable and Fruit Production in Northern Utah."

The 108 page guide covers a variety of topics including garden site selection, variety selection, container gardening, season extension, composting and soil improvement, and pest control. The basics of these and many other topics are covered in the guide, which also includes links to USU Extension fact sheets for more detailed information.

The guide was written by Katie Wagner, Horticulture Faculty in Salt Lake County; Shawn Olsen, Agriculture Faculty in Davis County; and Dan Drost, State Extension Vegetable Specialist. Copies of the guide are $14 online. They can be ordered from the USU Extension Service webpage.
