KANARRAVILLE, Iron County — Police are working to identify a man they say sexually assaulted and robbed a woman Thursday.
The woman was showing a building lot to the man, who was described as a white, in his 30s, about 5 feet 10 inches and 160 pounds with a stocky build. He is also said to have a square jaw, blue eyes and a deep voice, and was wearing blue jeans, a light gray V-neck T-shirt with black stripes, a windbreaker and gloves.
According to police, the man was looking at the lot in the Harmony Heights Subdivision when he suddenly attacked the woman, taking out a weapon during the assault. The woman was eventually able to escape and ran to a house about a half-mile away to call for help just after 2:15 p.m..
The man was driving a 2010 white Subaru Outback with California plates, front-end damage, black rocker panels below the doors, a black luggage rack and tinted rear windows.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Iron County Sheriff's Office at 435-867-7500.
