DRAPER — A crash involving a semitruck closed all northbound lanes on Interstate 15 Sunday evening.
Around 5:45 p.m. Sunday, a semitruck travelling northbound on I-15 crashed just after the 12300 South exit ramp. According to Utah Highway Patrol, the driver was travelling too fast for the slick conditions, causing him to lose control and hit the cement barrier.
The truck's trailer jack-knifed, blocking all northbound lanes of traffic.
An 18-year-old woman in another northbound car became involved with the accident, though UHP was not sure of the details.
The woman was transported to an area hospital for complaints of neck and chest pain. There were no other serious injuries.
UHP diverted traffic to 12300 South until the trailer could be cleared.
