SALT LAKE CITY — Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a store in the Gateway Mall.

Surveillance video from the store shows a white young man walked into a store and demanded the clerk to give him the money from the store's cash register. The incident occurred during store hours, around 12:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Suspect description
Male white adult
20-25 years old
5-feet, 6-inches tall
160 pounds, thin build
Wearing black knit cap, blue or black jacket over a light blue hoodie, black knit pants

According to Salt Lake City police, the clerk complied with his request. As they opened the till, the suspect grabbed the cash inside and exited the store.

Nobody was injured. Police ask that anyone with information about the crime or the suspect call (801) 799-3000. Anonymous tips may also be sent by texting TIPSLCPD with information and case number 13-8469 to CRIMES (274637).
