SALT LAKE CITY — It's a simple wish. A family of her own. Parents to love and who love her in return. 16-year-old Katie desperately wants a family of her own.
"(It doesn't matter who you are," Katie said. "As long as I know you love me and that you care for me, because that's all I want."
"If I'm the one, then I'm the one and I really want to be in your family, Katie said. "And I want to see how it goes."
This bright blue-eyed beauty loves to dance. And while she loves make up, and all things "girl," including cheerleading. She also plays soccer and softball.
Nevertheless, some of her interests may surprise you.

"I want to be either a mechanic — a diesel mechanic — or a dentist," she said.
Katie loves math and science. She says she loves school, and describes herself as "mature." But there is one big thing still missing in her life: A family.
Katie has a sister she is hoping to be adopted with.
