(KSL News) An apartment catches fire overnight and investigators have no idea why.

One unit of a four-plex at 176 North Redwood Road started smoking around 11 o'clock.

The unit was supposed to be vacant, but fire crews say homeless people have been sleeping there.

Crews kept the fire to one bedroom. Damage is estimated to 25-thousand dollars.

No one was hurt. The cause is under investigation.
