(KSL News) -- Provo police investigating a series of attempted abductions now say two of the cases are false.
Officers received four attempted abduction reports last week. Each time, alleged victims described the suspect as a man in a bronze or gold Cadillac who tried to force them into his car.
Police tracked down the driver, who admitted he offered a ride to a 19-year old woman. Further investigation proved abduction attempts reported by a 12-year old boy and 14-year old girl were fabricated.
Police believe a fourth report involving a 13-year old girl is still valid.
