SALT LAKE CITY - The Jazz have found a pretty consistent rotation and their rookie shooter hasn't found playing time, so they are finding it for him with the Reno Bighorns in the D-League.

General manager Dennis Lindsey announced today that second-round draft pick Kevin Murphy has been assigned to its Developmental League affiliate Reno. The 47th pick had played nine minutes in the three games where he has seen action and scored four points.

He will be the first Jazz player sent to the D-League since Jeremy Evans in March 2011 and the sixth overall. Last year the Jazz signed three players who played in the regular season with D-League experience, Jamaal Tinsley, DeMarre Carroll and Blake Ahearn.

He is expected to be in uniform for the season opener on Nov. 30.
