OREM — Alpine Credit Union at 351 E. 800 S., Orem, was robbed Tuesday morning at 11:45 am.

The suspect is a white male, about 5 feet 2 inches tall, with a medium build, wearing a gray hoodie, dark shorts and white shoes. He had the draw strings on the hoodie synched up so that only small portion of his face as visible.

He passed a note to the teller claiming he had a weapon, although no weapon was seen. He left the Credit Union on foot going North with an undisclosed amount of money. Officers saturated the area but the suspect was not found.

As a result of the search, Scera Elementary (450 S. 400 E. and Orem High School (175 Tiger Way) were put on lockdown for about 30 minutes.
