HYRUM, Cache County — An 18-year-old resident of Hyrum has been arrested for allegedly taking part in a sexual act with a 10-year-old girl.
Allen Bertoch, 18, was arrested and booked into the Cache County Jail Wednesday for three separate incidents where he participated in sexual acts with a 10-year-old girl. Bertoch gave the girl some type medication to make her "sleepy," said LT. Chad Jensen of the Cache County Sheriff's Office.
Officers have not determined what the medication the girl was given, but evidence has been taken to the State Crime Lab for further analysis.
Bertoch is currently being held in the Cache County Jail with no bail. He was booked on three counts of Sodomy of a Child, all First Degree felonies, and one count of Surreptitious administration of a substance, a Class A misdemeanor.
