Apr. 24--"Retrospect of Americana Paintings," the next exhibit at the Lake Eustis Museum of Art, will feature works by local artist Donald Huff.

The exhibit, which will open with a free reception at 6 p.m. May 5, runs through June 16.

The one-man show contains 30 paintings that capture such themes as five-and-dime stores, train depots and boathouses. His work is reminiscent of Norman Rockwell.

Huff and his wife, Doris, are originally from Cincinnati, where he often painted riverboats and ferries. His oil paintings include commissioned portraits, which are his specialty. He also paints musical instruments on ties.

The museum, at 200-B E. Orange Ave., is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.
