SALT LAKE CITY — A wildfire burning on Stansbury Island caused quite a commotion Monday night.
The KSL Newsroom received several calls from Salt Lake County residents worried about the fire, which was clearly visible across the valley.
Fire officials said lightning sparked a blaze Monday evening, and it had burned about 300 acres as of 10 p.m.
Firefighters are not actively fighting the fire because it isn't threatening any structures. They're hoping forecast rain storms will put the flames out.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.
