For the most comprehensive look at the BYU football team, you can't go wrong with Greg Wrubell's "Cougar Tracks". Here's the latest from practice as the Cougars get ready for Saturday's game against Weber State.

The BYU Cougars did not crack the Top 25 in either the AP or Coaches' Polls. BYU did however move up in both. The Cougars are ranked 28th in the Associated Press and 27th in the Coaches' Top 25.

Jon Wilner, who cover college football for the Bay Area News Group, voted BYU 23rd in his AP ballot.

ESPN college football writer Mark Schlabaugh was impressed by BYU victory over Washington State. He was so impressed that he mentioned the Cougars in his "On the Mark" video segment (1:54 mark).

Speaking of BYU tight ends, Devin Mahina appears ready to return after suffering a broken hand in fall camp. Devin tweeted out today (@DevinMahina84 "I'm ready man!"

Former BYU offensive lineman Matt Reynolds was signed to the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad. Reynolds signed with the Carolina Panthers as an un-drafted free agent, but was cut over the weekend. Matt will join his brother Dallas, who is a guard/center for Philly.
